Transcript for The Three Misfits, episode 1 of Trichotomy.

Script

EXT: APARTMENT COMPLEX, NOON

We open on large apartment complex in our main setting, Beastrill City, a vivid, colorful city full of humanoid animals, large skyscrapers, and flashy nightclubs. It is noon.

INT: APARTMENT, LIVING ROOM

We cut to the inside one of the many apartments. It is quite large, and is painted in a light shade of gray. In this shot, we are shown one of our three main characters, sitting on a couch, flipping through channels on an offscreen television. This is SYLVIA DIXENS, a humanoid calico cat. She has black hair and at the moment is wearing a light t-shirt with pajama trousers. She looks a bit bored.

After some more rapid channel surfing, she stops on one, her faces lighting up immediately with intrigue.

CUT: The television, showcasing a murder mystery program, showing black and white pictures of a couple.

NARRATOR: (On the television)

Why did she do it? What was her motive?

BACK TO: Sylvia, looking at the TV, looking in a state almost like a trance.

NARRATOR: (Cont'd)

The answers will be revealed...right after this commercial break!

Sylvia breaks out of trance, and immediately groans. She gets up off the couch, walking offscreen.

INT: APARTMENT, BEDROOM

One of the bedrooms in the apartment, it is painted purple. Onscreen, another one of the three protagonists is shown, LINDA CREMIREE, a humanoid red squirrel. She is wearing a purple dress and has short brown hair. She has candles lit below her, seeminly trying to preform some sort of supernatural ritual.

CUT: From behind Linda, she starts slowly waving her arms in the air, this is part of the ritual.

LINDA:

O fine ghouls, death may have taken you once, but one day soon you shall rise again! Show yourself unto me, let me bask in your magnificence, if only a moment!

CUT: The flames on the candles, they start to grow larger, the ritual is working.

BACK TO: Linda, now no longer waving her arms, suddenly, a translucent, featureless grey creature starts to form above the candles. Looks like we've got a GHOUL on our hands.

CUT: Close up of Linda, a door is seen in the background. She looks absolutely amazed at whats happening.

Until, the door opens to reveal Sylvia, Linda immediately turns her head, now mortified.

CUT: Wide shot of the two characters, Linda panickedly blows out the candles, and the creature disappears. She looks back at Sylvia, looking very angry.

LINDA:

Maybe knock next time!

Sylvia rolls her eyes.

SYLVIA:

C'mon Linda, you know I never do that.

Linda shrugs.

SYLVIA: (Cont'd)

Regardless, have you seen Ryan? I've looked everywhere and he isn't around.

Linda raises an eyebrow.

LINDA:

Um, I think he told me he was going to the D. James Society but, uh, he didn't want me to tell you.

SYLVIA:

Well, thanks for breaking the secret. I'll be going now.

Linda nods.

Sylvia closes the door and we see Linda getting back to her ritual.

EXT: THE D. JAMES SOCIETY, NIGHTTIME

Establishing shot of The D. James Society, a club popular in the show's universe. It's a building made of quartz, shaped into a cylindrical square, pink and red lights illuminate the building.

INT: THE D. JAMES SOCIETY

The society in all it's glory, a dark club lit only by strobe lights and vastly colored LEDs. People dancing to blaring music, in the background, we see several booths, equipped with curtains, some covered, some not. Our third main character is waiting in one of these booths.

CUT: Closer shot of a booth covered by a curtain, a humanoid raccoon dog comes into shot, he is wearing a brown suit and has thick glasses on, he is holding a briefcase.

CUT: The curtain, the raccoon dog's hand comes into shot and pulls on the curtain. We are revealed our third main character, RYAN BOLTA, a humanoid wolf, with grey fur and wearing predominately leather clothes, consisting of a jacket and pants, with short grey hair, he faces the camera, looking at the raccoon dog, smiling slightly.

RYAN:

Hi there, you're the one, right?

CUT: The raccoon dog, he nods.

BACK TO: Ryan, who beckons him in, the raccoon dog comes in, and Ryan closes the curtain.

INT: BOOTH

It is dark, only light being LED candles. We are focused on Ryan. We linger on this shot for a few seconds.

RYAN:

Well...are you gonna show it?

CUT: The raccoon dog, who places the briefcase on the table. He opens it.

BACK TO: Ryan, we hear the briefcase open, and he smirks.

RYAN:

Yep, that's the Blues Brothers soundtrack, for sure.

CUT: Wider shot of the two.

RYAN: (Cont'd)

And if i'm being told correctly, this is signed by John Landis himself right?

The raccoon dog nods. Ryan nods back, a huge smile on his face.

RACCOON DOG:

This is gonna cost you a lot.

The two look at eachother for a few seconds, until Ryan gestures the raccoon dog to tell him the price.

RYAN:

And that would be...

RACCOON DOG:

3 grand.

Ryan smirks, and proceeds to produce the money the raccoon dog needs, he stops in the middle of this briefly, looking back at the raccoon dog.

RYAN:

...what are you gonna use this money for?

CUT: The raccoon dog.

RACCOON DOG:

To kickstart my daughter's independence, she's planning to get a place to live.

BACK TO: Ryan and the raccoon dog, Ryan then places the money on the table.

RYAN:

I'm glad to do that friend.

More coming soon!
